Age 45 is the new American Cancer Society recommendation to begin colorectal cancer screening for those with average risk. People with high risk might need to start sooner. Check with your insurance company about coverage.

Did you Know? Since 1994, there has been a 51 percent increase in the rate of this disease among those younger than 50. Factors may include increasing rates of obesity, a lack of exercise and the consumption of processed foods.
